What type of people are you looking to deal with?

What sort of people should we be spending time with?

I remember once listening to a business person who always flew first class or business class when making business trips. He reckoned that the type of people he wanted to connect with would be there.

Where do you find the people that you want to connect with?

Where do they live?
What type of house have they?
What type of car have they?
What sort of hobbies have they?
What type of books do they read?
What type of attitude have they?
What are their aspirations?

I recently had the privilege of spending a couple of nights in a really nice hotel. During our afternoon tea, I got into a conversation with a retired couple from the USA. One had been an engineer with a large petroleum firm. The other had been a judge of the Superior Court. They were not the type of couple you would find in a budget hotel.

If you want to upgrade your clients then we might need to upgrade where we go and what we do.
